One of Laugharne's most beloved venues, The Globe is a warm, characterful space, the perfect setting to slow down, get your hands floury, and learn something truly special.
In this educational workshop you'll hand-churn your own fresh butter from scratch using local farmers cream & Halon Mon sea salt flakes, bake a traditional white loaf, then use the leftover buttermilk, not a drop wasted, to make a classic Welsh soda bread. It's a beautifully connected, nose-to-tail approach to baking that celebrates Welsh food traditions and gives you a real understanding of where your ingredients come from.
The Globe Bakery is equipped with professional, high-tech baking equipment, so you'll be working with the best tools while learning timeless techniques. No prior experience is needed, just curiosity and enthusiasm!
You'll leave with your own hand-churned butter, a freshly baked white loaf, and a rustic soda bread, all made by your own hands, from scratch, with nothing left behind.
