About me
With over 35 years of baking expertise, I'm passionate about sharing the timeless art of bread making through hands-on workshops that prove simplicity creates extraordinary results.
My journey began at 15 in Northampton, where I discovered my love for baking and earned my City & Guilds qualification. I then spent seven years in the Royal Navy, where I expanded my culinary skills as a qualified chef, learning discipline and precision that still guide my craft today.
Now, I'm fortunate to pass on decades of knowledge through carefully designed workshops that make successful baking accessible to everyone. My approach is simple: create a fun, friendly environment where you'll discover that great bread comes from understanding the fundamentals, not complicated techniques.
Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, my workshops celebrate the elegant simplicity that transforms basic ingredients into something truly special.
About the venue
'The Stores' Llansteffan is a family-run business owned by Jamie & his wife, Sarah. Their 2 boys, Tommy & Tobi, also help run the company, making it a proper family enterprise!
'The Stores' always offers a warm welcome where you can use the number of services on offer. There is a coffee shop that provides the finest Barista-style coffees around, as well as a lunchtime menu featuring homemade sandwiches and toasties.
Through a door, you will notice some warm light emitting from the rear bar area, where you are welcome to take a seat or order a drink from the fully licensed bar.
Outside, there is a cute courtyard where more seating is available, and in the outhouse, there is a dedicated children's room fully equipped with a pool table and arcade machines to keep the youngsters occupied.
The beach is a 5-minute walk away, as is the 12th-century Norman castle, plenty for you to take in either before or after your course.
To complete the offering, there is FREE parking directly outside the venue.
